Cristina Branco in NYC
Portugal's Cristina Branco is one of the leading new voices in Fado, the Portuguese songs of love and yearning made famous by the late Amalia Rodrigues. Acclaimed for her hauntingly beautiful voice and striking presence, she has captivated audiences and critics alike throughout Europe and the US. She will be joined by the brilliant Custodio Castelo, one of the finest Portuguese guitar players, and musicians on piano, guitar, and bass. Presented by World Music Institute.
